Kodak Gets A Year To Undergo Reorganization

New York, January 23 (FinanceEnquiry.com) - After Kodak sought bankruptcy protection on Thursday, the photography pioneer has been given until Feb. 15, 2013 to undergo reorganization. Kodak said that it will endeavor to reduce its debt by selling off its patents portfolio consisting of 1,100 patents, which are expected to yield $2 billion or more.

Executives of the beleaguered company said that they hope to follow the footsteps of other American companies, such as Chrysler and United Airlines, that have reorganized successfully during the bankruptcy protection period.
