Netflix Makes Top Level Management Changes
January 21, 2012

New York, January 21 (FinanceEnquiry.com) - Netflix is reported to have made some sweeping changes to its top level management by replacing its chief marketing executive Leslie Kilgore. She has been in the position for the past 12 years. She will now be joining the board.

The mail-order DVD and movie-streaming service said in a statement Friday that Kilgore will be replaced by Jessie Becker on an interim basis. Jonathan Friedland was named chief communications officer. He had joined Netflix in February as vice president of global corporate communications.

The need to make necessary changes was felt as there was widespread customer revolt over changes to prices and terms. In July, the company had announced a price increase and changes to its mail-order and streaming services, including the aborted attempt to rebrand the mail-order unit Qwikster.
