S and P Capital IQ Reiterates BUY Rating on Hasbro (HAS), Target Price Raised
February 7, 2012

NEW YORK, February 7 (FinanceEnquiry.com) - Analyst Michael Souers of S&P Capital IQ reiterates his BUY rating on the shares of Hasbro (NYSE: HAS), while reducing his estimates for the company. The target price has been raised from $40 to $43.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that Hasbro has reported Q4 EPS of $1.06, vs. $0.99, is $0.03 higher than the recently lowered estimates. HAS witnessed weaker demand in Canada and US, with a significant decline in the Games and Puzzles category, the analyst says.  The analyst, however, favors Hasbro’s entertainment brands, and believes that new movies such as Battleship and Avengers will support growth this year. The EPS estimate for 2012 has been reduced from $3.14 to $3.13 and for 2013 it is initiated at $3.37. The current valuation of Hasbro’s shares is attractive, S&P Capital IQ adds.
