New York, November 24 (FinanceEnquiry.com) - Generally when people talk about stocks, they are usually talking about the companies listed under stock exchanges such as New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which is the big daddy and big league. Stock markets have emerged faster than our understanding of the world market.

The economic history of United States has its roots in European colonization in the 16th, 17th and 18th century. The colonial government decided to finance the war by selling bonds, government notes promising to pay out at a profit at a later date. At the same time, private banks started to raise money by issuing stock, or shares of the company to raise their own money.
